How then do you make your resort stay different? How do you find a more relaxed, stressless state? It can be done and here is a list that will help you achieve mental peace during your getaway.
- turn your cell phone off or tell friends and family and business associates to only call if it is a true emergency
- most resorts have a spa-use it-arrange for a message, facial or wrap-anything that you find relaxing
- forget a schedule-go to the resort and don't plan anything ahead-decide to just go with the flow
- turn the TV and radio off
- spend a day near the pool just reading your favorite magazine or book on a lounger or do the same on your balcony or patio
- if the resort is on a beach, get a complimentary beach chair from the resort and take along a book or MP3 player loaded with relaxing music
- sleep in and then attend a late morning breakfast buffet
- decide before hand, with your spouse or significant other, that there is no disagreement allowed while at the resort (not easy, but work at it)
- spend much of the day in the resort's terrycloth robe
- don't discuss anything related to work
- sit on your balcony at sunset and briefly close your eyes-then, really watch the sunset
